I would just like to say how much we enjoyed a week based in Amsterdam in the mid 90's. Above all I recall the great friendliness of the Dutch people who were always willing to assist us. One great boon is that Dutch people all seem to be fluent English speakers...always makes me feel humble as my knowledge of French and German etc. certainly is limited.
We found that travelling by train was cheap, efficient and comfortable and we managed to see Maastricht and Hoorn on day trips. You will certainly have fun and even if the weather is not warm the welcome will be!
Greetings from a wet and miserable London and a happy new year to all Ziners.
