Now I 'd like to add my 2 cents to the London weather thread.

We were there last July when the Queen Mother was celebrating her 100th Birthday. The weather turned unseasonably warm for the celebration (after being unseasonably cold).

The temp were in the high 70's and the English reporters covering the story likened the warm weather to being like a cauldron.

Living in Southeast Texas I couldn't relate the high 70's to being anything like a cauldron .
