Subject: RE: Re: Patagoina help needed
Hello Susie

I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina and have been many times in the Patagonian area in the last 25 years.

Unfortunately I don't know much about companies organizing tours from outside, we have been always travelling on our own, just taking sometimes small tours, but always for very few people.

I can give you a couple of addresses where you can look what they have : this are local Argentinian tour agencies specialized in Patagonia ( they are located in the area). Pls go to: http://www.patagonia-travel.com/ingles/_escalatur.html or http://www.allpatagonia.net

You will have no language problems, they receive a lot of foreign tourists.

I can help in any thing you need for decisions.

I would go to: Ushuaia, National Park Glacier Park Perito Moreno ( only growing glacier ) Chalten ( small city with lots of hiking and trekking possibilities) Torres del Paine Park ( in Chile is a must) Los Alerces National Park ( around the city of Esquel ) and if time permits, the Peninsula de Valdez ( where you can find a lot of sea animals living in the coast ).

You should look with yr travel agency if there is still a ticket called Visit Argentina ( it used to be cheap, including several trips in the country for a moderate price - I guess you have a similar Visit USA for us ).

Hope this helps, just contact me for more info
