Subject: Re: 3 months Grenoble France

Although it was at least a hundred years ago when I was at university in Grenoble, I recall spending weekends at nearby Annecy. A small city of old houses, canals &fun restaurants in those days, Annecy seemed timeless to me. I'd enjoy hearing your impressions should you decide to go up there. The lake (ok, after a hundred years, the name escapes me!) appears in several French poems &should be quite fine in April &May.

BTW, the French I learned in Grenoble has served me well. Tours is supposed to be the region with the purest accent, but I think the Grenoble accent is every bit as acceptable.
