|Subject: Italian hotel breakfasts|
I must stay in the cheesiest hotels in Italy because, with one
exception, I have found the breakfasts to be terrible. Usually a hard
roll, maybe a croissant, but not a wonderful fresh one, and coffee. A
cappuccino if you're lucky, but not like the ones you'll find in bars.
I usually have the coffee to wake up, and then head for the nearest bar
for a real cappuccino and croissant.
The one exception was in Verona, and I think the German influence was the reason for the buffet. And now that I think about it, the food wasn't that good, just more plentiful.
