Subject: RE: Salt Lake City
I have been to La Caille twice. For those of you who might have caught the early episodes of Touched By An Angel, the opening scenes were shot at the restaurant for it is in a small game preserve and has a wonderful brick drive leading up to a French country house facade. The food and wine are second to none, but it can be pricey. Once when a mechanic, who nearly killed us by failing to properly set a cap on our plane's hydraulics, offered to buy us the meal of our choice (when he discovered we were alive) we dined at his expense at La Caille. That was about 5 years ago and we presented our benefactor with a $700 bill for four of us. It was a wonderful meal and it was a lot more pleasant than a funeral. I have since returned (albeit less expensively) and highly recommend it.
