Subject: Maeght Foundation (was Where to go in Provence
Hi All

Since the conversation was going on, I wanted to pitch in with this decent website for the Maeght Foundation. It is one of the world's finest small museums of modern art and shouldn't be missed. St Paul de Vence is charming and was also home to the great American writer, James Baldwin. It is Black History Month here in the US, so I am glad to be able to add a small piece of that history to this discussion.

This is the only part of Provence that I know, but let me also suggest the nearby town of Villlauris, where Picasso had his pottery studio, which has now become a gorgeous gallery featuring ceramic art. The town is full of touristy pottery shops, but the gallery is the best reason to go.

Wishing to be there, Debbie in Pittsburgh
