|Subject: Les Halles|
Three years ago when we were in France, we stayed with friends who lived
outside of Paris, and took a train from Les Halles to and fro. One
evening, we were later than we realized and missed the train that we
usually took. We had to call our friends for advice as we weren't sure
which train would get us to them, and they were quite concerned that we
were waiting in the station area of Les Halles. They told us what train
to take and then advised us to go outside to a cafe to wait as it was
not safe to be waiting at the tracks at 10 PM.
Other than this, I have always felt safe in Paris, alone or with a companion, day or night.
