Subject: Re: Paris 3
Monday- Another sunny day - my husband told me the internet forecast when we talked last night - 50's and sunny - great! First stop - the patisserie of prize-winning GĖrard Mulot, 76 rue de Seine, in the 6th. Almost too gorgeous to eat, but we managed. Walked to and through Notre Dame, had a cup of tea at La Fleur en Ile, looking out from Isle St. Louis to Notre Dame, then to the gourmet bulls eye of place Madeleine. Shopped and got our eyes full at Laduree, Fauchon, and Hediard. More shopping, then a wonderful dinner at Bistrot du Breteuil, on Place de Breteuil in the 7th. Warm and welcoming, beautiful decor, and delicious prix fixe meals. 179 francs includes everything from a kir maison, bowl of olives, bread, to the coffee after 3 delicious courses. Every bite was wonderful, and beautifully presented. Reservations needed - a busy neighborhood place. Phone 01 45 67 07 27. Tuesday was more of the same - patisseries, shopping at BHV (Bazaar de Hotel de Ville), Bon Marche, and Leonidas for chocolates to take home. Home Tuesday evening - and can't wait to go back!!
