Patricia Wells has writen several great books on food in France.
Food Lover's Guide to Paris and Food Lover's Guide to France - if you
love the food in France, you'll truly appreciate her books.
I love most of her recommendations, but I'll never agree with her on
Pile ou Face in Paris - one of her favorites. Peter's recommendation on
finding her at her the http://www.iht.com is good - and you can check her archives
there. She's been writing for The Herald Tribune for years - but then
again, it does help that her husband is the Managing Editor.
She's a lovely woman, very knowledgeable - I've taken some cooking classes
from her in the past.
