Subject: Car rental in Italy
In my efforts, ultimately successful, to rent a car from AutoEurope last year, I learned a lot about the ins and outs of it all. Talk to AutoEurope in person, is lesson number one. We initially wanted to rent a car in Arezzo and on the internet AutoEurope didn't have cars for rent there. Actually, you can drop off a car there if you rent with Avis thru AutoEurope. You can rent a car from AutoEurope in Siena - that was one of our alternatives. It costs more to rent from and drop off at airports - some kind of airport fee - so if you can avoid airports, you can save a little. All of this from talking to actual people, who I found very helpful.
