Subject: Re: Andorra, Navarre -- while in the region...
Graziella - I had posted in one of my travelogues, I believe, a must go to bakery on the way out of La Seu going into France. It's in Martinet (about 1/2 drive from La Seu) -- They make fabulous chocolate-dipped butter cookies with jam centers that are worth the detour and they make their own chocolate there - in back. They hand-wrap it in thin brown paper and stamp the date on the front so that it is used a year from that date. When we're in the area - we always stop there -- (We brought home 15 bars last year as gifts - both dark and milk chocolate!!!) What a treat. If you can't find my notes, I'll fish them out and send them on. Also, if you have time, a tiny village near the main route - Bellver de Cerdayna has two wonderful restaurants - small, but terrific --I can get them for you too if you want also. I couldn't tell from your posts where you'd be exactly. When in France, are you going into the Pyrenees for any time or just crossing??? Regards, Susie Newton, MA
