Subject: Salzburg & Rothenburg |
Last September my husband and I stayed at a wonderful B&B in Salzburg (just
off the Moosstrase) by the name of Haus Reichl. A short bus ride takes you
in to the heart of Salzburg yet the B&B is set in a country setting
overlooking the Untersberg. We had a car for our stay and used it to tour
the countryside but always used the bus to go into Salzburg. The owners,
Herr and Frau Reichl, are very kind and offer a wonderful breakfast. They
also can book tours, loan you their bikes, or help you with anything else.
The rooms are lovely and the ensuite bathrooms wonderful. Frau Reichl speaks
some english and gets along quite well with her guests. Of course, if you
can speak a little german it always helps. When we were there, an american
couple was staying for one week and they loved it--they spoke no german! The
web site is

Check the site for the current daily rate (always reasonable)
If you stay there, ask for the room with the screens.
In the warm weather screens on the windows are always preferred to
french doors with no screens. One of these days I'm going to send our
finds to Callie!
