|Subject: Re: watering plants while traveling|
Hi Don and Linda
At the Home Show last year (free passes courtesy of work) we saw a
plant watering device that goes in pots or the ground, with some sort
of gel-like cells to hold water. I was about to purchase these when I
saw the price!
We have extensive plantings of several beds and I pot about 100
plants each spring, so anything more than a few dollars would be a
waste of money for us...... I believe these devices cost about 20USD
each. I think you may be able to find them in plant supply stores, but
I'm not sure. I'm just writing to let you know they exist.
We usually pay someone to come and water while we are away.
I believe you can also buy timers for hoses and sprinklers, but I have not done so.
We have magnolias and daffodils! Debbie in Pittsburgh
