|Subject: Provence trip|
If you want to make the most of your 2-week stay, yet not race around the region without taking a breath, here's a suggestion, based on staying at B&B's or a local hotel (fall is a great time to visit, hotels, etc much less occupied):
3 days somewhere south of Avignon -- from there you can easily visit Avignon, St. Remy, Les Baux, Arles, Les Alpilles
3 days in the Luberon (Peter Mayle country!)
3 days in on near the St. Tropez peninsula: visit St. Trop, Bormes, Grimaud and much more
5 days somewhere between Cannes and Nice, to visit the Cote d'Azur, Grasse, St. Paul-de-Vence and more
The places to visit are suggestions. If you do everything, you'll be overwhelmed. But by just staying in these 4 central locations, you will discover how incredibly varied Provence is, from limestone mountains to oak forests, to green hills and blue sea.
