Subject: Re: Paris/Oxford
Here are some things I recently enjoyed in Oxford and nearby: Just down the street from the Randolph Hotel is a good eatery (for lunch or tea) with the unique name of The Nosebag recommended to us by a local Unconventional food - I've gone there since I moved here 20 years ago. Delicious baked goods, and tasty unusual vegetarian items, unique salads, quiches, etc.. Sit by the window upstairs, looking out on the lane. Evensong in beautiful Christchurch at 6 pm was marvelous. Might be difficult with a little one, though :) Agree with a previous poster that Bibury, in the Cotswolds, is well worth your time. Had a very good, and reasonable lunch there at Jankowski's Brasserie, beside the Swan Hotel (one of the best sticky toffee puddings I've ever had - yum!). I could wander around Oxford and the Cotswolds for weeks. Have a wonderful time. anne in VA
