|Subject: Travel in Tuscany: Siena, hilltowns.|
Tuscan hilltowns are my favorite subject. I am about
to embark on my fifth trip to Tuscany this Fall because
the wonderful hilltowns keep drawing us back. There is
just no other place we would rather travel to right now
until we get this out of system!
I would like to suggest you vist some of the wonderful hilltowns south of Siena if the opportunity should arise. Cortona, Pienza, Montepulciano, and Montalcino are all just magical. Then there are the even smaller villages of Monticchiello and Montefollonico which are on the outskirts of Pienza and Montepulciano. I could go on and on. Further afield lies Castiglione d'Orcia and Radicofani located in the beautiful Val D'Orcia valley. That in itself is a sight to see.......
