Barcelona is such a fabulous city. Take the bus tour (I think it's called
Bus Turistica)of the Gaudi architecture. Plaza de Catalunya near the
top of Las Ramblas. It drops you off
at each of the sites (Segrada Familia, Parc Guell and more), and each 30
minutes or so another bus comes by to pick up those ready to move on to
another site along the route. Barcelonetta is interesting (great
restaurants for paella) as is Tibidado Park (especially for view). Of
course the most fun is to roam the tiny streets of Barcelona, stopping for
tapas and soaking up the ambience. Don't miss the Picasso Museum and the
wonderful market on Las Ramblas.
The Costa Brava is beautiful...the coastline is breathtaking and we found hotels very reasonable. Cadques was charming when I was there a decade ago. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
