I travel there on business every 2 months and stay in the West End
section of town...near Vanderbilt. You can find about every type of
food and price range. My favorites are Noshville Deli (21st Ave),
Pancake Pantry also on 21st Ave in Hillsboro Village(I see lots of
celebs there), Chez Jose on Elliston(best Baja Mexican grilled fish
outside of California...gotta try their fish tacos!), Krispy Kreme
doughnut shop on Elliston(go when the red neon HOT NOW sign is on
and it's as close to an org...well you'll know what I mean). My
favorite place to people watch is the LongHorn Steakhouse behind the
Courtyard Hotel. Lot's of music row celebs and wannabes there. Best
beer selection is the Flying Saucer (behind Union Station off
Broadway) about 40 taps! Good luck on the BBQ. Haven't found
anything in Nashville that's close to what I've found here in North
Carolina or in Memphis.
