|Subject: Off to Cape Town|
When we were in Capetown in 1995, we stayed in the historic Breakwater Lodge
(formerly Breakwater Prison). It's now owned by the University of Capetown
(the Grad.School of Business has cell offices in part of the prison) and
is reasonably priced and comfortable (but not opulent). It's just at the
entrance to the Victoria and Albert waterfront, there are lots of
restaurants, shops, and theatres within walking distance as well.
I recommend it highly. Couldn't find its own website but... here's one link to get prices: http://www.hotelinformation.com/html/southafrica/capetown/breakwater/
It's a great city - hope you are going to go into the wine country as well - it's beautiful.
