Bill Wysong asked about food in Athens.
A few blocks from the Divani Palace is the Dionysos Restaurant. Joanna, a
Greek Ziner &I had dinner there in late Oct. Here's a bit from my
travelogue, Although it was about 7:00pm and early for Athenians to have
dinner, the restaurant was open and we enjoyed a delightful dinner with an
incredible view of the Acropolis..looked like I could just reach out and
touch it. We watched the darkness fall over the monument and the lights
come on. Pinch me again! This is real! We shared moussaka, stuffed grape
leaves, aubergine dip eaten on toasted bread, and spinach pie. Lovely! We
passed on wine and dessert. It was very moderately priced.
I agree with Don &Linda's choice of a trip to Delphi. Wonderful!
