|Subject: Re: Huatulco|
I have been to Huatulco several times, but not since 1990 so i am not
sure how up to date my information is. Also, I stayed in Club Med and
loved it. That resort has five restaurants, close to golf and lots of
amenities. they have 5 beaches, one for wind surfing, one for sailing,
one for snorkeling ( over a reef), and several for swimming. Lots of sports
here including a volleyball pool, many other pools, a great gym, tennis,
boca ball, surfing, water skiing, just about anything you could want.
In one week i learned to wind surf, and i started using those floatie
things which really helped :). They had a Circus workshop where I learned
to fly on the trapeze ( a real one with a net) despite almost losing my
nerves and lunch! And clown workshops where one could learn to apply clown
makeup, or just juggle. They have nightly games of trivia and more, with
plenty of opportunities to meet lots of interesting people, mostly Europeans.
The food is good, not great though but definitely in abundance. The people
who work at Club Meds are always interesting and fun.
When I was last there, only two other resorts lined the bay but I am sure
that has changed. It is quite a lovely place.
Have a nice trip, Amelia in los Angeles http://www.meyerandassociates.com
