Tom, We had a wonderful meal with boxty, a potato pancake with many possible fillings at a place called Bricin. It is upstairs above a craft shop on one of the main streets. The food was good, prices reasonable, and atmosphere was nice. BTW, we tried to order boxty elsewhere and it was a mashed potato with sausage mix so be forewarned. In general, we found Irish food to be very bland and my husband and son took to carrying Tabasco sauce with them. They ordered their lamb curry boxty double extra hot and spicy and were warned about its hotness when it was served. I, who cannot tolerate the least bit of hotness, could eat it easily.
