Subject: Munich to Florence by rail
Actually, I think it's easier to get on a train right away than almost anything else. You can doze without endangering yourself while watching the scenery go by, think about your plans, read some guide books. I would imagine if you took the flight option Munich-Florence, you'd not arrive until around noon anyway. Jet lag affects each of us in different ways, so don't assume you'll be suffering! For example, after a flight Cairns-Sydney-San Francisco-Eugene, I can take a quick shower &go to work for another 4 or 5 hours, or even teach a night class. Other travelers of my acquaintance must have 2 days to catch up.
