Subject: Train tickets in Europe
Last November I bought tickets for four people at a travel agency in Rome for travel to Naples. Then in Naples several days later I bought four tickets going back to Rome. Both sets of tickets were for the Eurostar. The travel agent in Naples advised me about a discount when buying tickets, I believe, for two or more. Anyway the price was about 30% less for the trip back to Rome on the Eurostar thanks to the travel agent in Naples who volunteered the information about the discount. He also advised which train station in Naples was more convenient to use. So the next time for train travel in Europe I would inquire about whether discounts are available and under what conditions. They might not be available in July and August.

For this reason, not to mention others here, I would only buy train tickets in the country where I would be travelling.
