|Subject: Picos de Europa|
I found the URL for the place Susie was speaking of :
http://www.posadadelvalle.com/english/index.html (it looks lovely).
It is located in Arriondas, a small village in the Asturias side of Picos. Nearby you can find the Sierra del Sueve, and from its high point you get a wonderful view of the Cantabric Sea on one side and the Picos de Europa on the other.
I think that it could be a good base to visit Cangas de Onís and the national park of the lakes of Covadonga (together with the Santina cave, where you can find the tiny statue of the Virgin of Covadonga). But it would make a long trip to visit the valley of Liebana, Potes and Fuente De. Personally I´d prefer much more the lakes to the Fuente De cable car. It is quite old, and I don´t like it a lot. But the valley of Liebana is lush and interesting (with some interesting dishes and a strong liquor, the orujo).
Here you have an URL to drive you mad (just joking :)) http://www.liebanaypicosdeeuropa.com/index-i.htm
