Marsham family I am envious. I live in Australia and the wonderful area of
Tuscany is close for you and very far for me.
The only advice I could give would be to spend as much time as you can in the Tuscany area.
Lucca is wonderful and very picturesque.You have not mentioned Venice? Not to be missed.
A day at Pisa is fine and perhaps you could take the 3-4 day trip to Florence and Venice.
When last I was there we based ourselves outside Siena around which are great little villages.
A car if you can afford it would be very useful, although the trains are also convenient for the major attractions.
