We've been talking about air safety on the list, and this morning on The
View, they were discussing air safety and other problems of taking long
flights. The doctor that was on the show talked about the recycled air on
planes and suggested that you take Vitamin C, a multiple vitamin, and Milk
Thistle to remove toxins. He also talked about problems with the blood
pooling in the legs on long flights, especially in cramped economy class.
He suggested Ginkgo before and after the trip to increase circulation, plus
getting up and moving around. He said it's rare, but some people have
gotten blood clots. Scary.... For stomach problems, one of the things he
suggested was acidophilus for the stomach bugs. He also advised
disinfectant for phones, etc. I think the Vitamin C is always a good
idea... people have talked about becoming sick after a long flight. My
husband and I were both ill when we came back. However, I think that was
partly because we lost a whole night of sleep, and we were running
constantly, keeping late hours. Resistance was bound to be down.
