Northleigh House at Five Ways Road, Hatton, Warwick, about 5 miles from
Warwick and a little further to Leamington Spa, is a B&B with about seven
rooms, all with en suites as I recall. Individually decorated, with a good
breakfast and comfortable common rooms. Not in a village, though so you
would need a car. I wasn't clear from your message whether all your travel
would be by rail or only the first part.
Alternatively, I happened to pick up in a weekend Sydney newspaper, a
recommendation from a Travel Section reader for a hotel in Leamington Spa.
Can't give a personal recommendation on it but an extract from the letter
An unpretentious building on the corner of Warwick and Clarendon streets,
it offers large rooms, comfortable beds, real showers and a menu to die
for.... (AA Red Star rating and rosette for food.)
The Lansdowne Hotel, 87 Clarendon Street, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
Around $200 (Australian) - so not much more than half that in US dollars,
for a double.
Warwick is a pleasant little town and the castle worth seeing.
