Subject: Hotel Kranenturn
Amelia,

We stayed in this hotel in 1997 on our first trip to Europe on a Rick Steves tour. We loved it. Each room is individually decorated. The train is right outside your window if you are on the river side. Ear plugs may be helpful. Kurt's wife, Fatima, is Filipino and the cuisine can either be German or Oriental or a combination of both. There is a Tiki Disco Lounge downstairs which is also a creation of Fatima. It was busy in July.

Bacharach is lovely. The retired schoolmaster, Herr Young, gives guided tours of the town. I don't know what the charge is.

Have a wonderful trip.
