Subject: Paris Hotels
Lou, I spent one night at the Louvre Rivoli in late July. Only one night because my niece was ill &we had to fly home early. The location is great altho we weren't able to take advantage of it, walking distance to many tourist attractions. The down side is that there is a giant scaffolding & plastic covering the hotel because they are cleaning the outside. In late July it was very dusty & very, very hot. The rooms are extremely small even by Paris standards. On the up side, the staff was very helpful & concerned & particularly gracious. The reception room on the 1st floor is comfortable ut we left very early for a flight home & didn't have breakfast. I'd definitely check, tho, to see if the cleaning is completed. Even in the fall it would detract from your stay. Carol Bailey Madras, Oregon
