Subject: Re: Day trips from Paris....
If you go to Giverny, don't miss the American Impressionist Museum which is an easy stroll down the main road. We ate lunch there in order to miss the crowds at Monet's house; lunch and the museum were both a delightful surprise. They have a really interesting gift selection too. I wish we had had time to roam the town a bit more, but by the time we got there, etc., etc., it was time for the last train to Paris. Be sure you check the schedule so you don't miss getting back. The bus is supposed to be scheduled to meet the train's arrival in Vernon, but somehow we missed it. We just took a cab for a bit more. Giverny is one of those places you will enjoy more from your photos when you are away from the crowds. Go, but be prepared; solitude is not the keyword.
