I know that there was some discussion about Philadelphia just a while
ago--hotels.
My cousin and I were planning to go to Philly to an Elderhostel on the
great museums of Philadelphia. It was cancelled but we are going to
Philly anyway. We have reservations for the Barnes which is one of the
main reason we wanted to go there. We did get a hotel reservation
through Hotwire at the Wyndham Franklin Sqaure for $52/night. Hope that
its nice or I am in trouble!! Has anyone stayed there?
What are some off the beaten tract things to see and do there? The more obvious things are in the AAA guide. Someone mentioned an architecture tour. Is anyone familiar with that? Good restaurants suggestions would be appreciated. We like seafood, ethnic, and we might treat ourselves to a fancy restaurant seeing that we are paying so little for a hotel. We will be there from Oct 30-Nov.2. Is the South Philly market still there? Does anyone know when it is open? Looking forward to your suggestions.
