Subject: Re: Philadelphia

There are lots of wonderful restaurants here in Philly but for seafood you might want to consider one of the following spots downtown;

Friday, Saturday, Sunday (on 21st between Spruce & Locust 215-546- 4232): great moderately priced seafood in a casual setting. Be sure to arrive early and have a drink in the tank bar upstairs.

Striped Bass (on Walnut bet. 15th &16th : 215-732-4444) very swank, expense account dining with a fabulous food and wine menu.

Regarding South Philly's Italian market: it is indeed still alive and well. It is open Tuesday-Saturday 9:30 - to late afternoon or Sunday mornings. Best time to go are weekdays at 11:00.

Enjoy your trip to the City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection.
