Subject: Oaxaca |
Following the invitation to post on our plans: in my family
(parents, sister, and I, coming together from different places)
there's interest in spending Christmas outside the U.S., and we're
thinking of Oaxaca, Mexico. I think fondly of a stay there in 1989,
lodging at the simple, friendly Casa Arnel. I know the city could be
popular at that time, with the Night of Radishes Dec. 23; we would
need to firm up our plans soon to get a good deal. I know what can
be found in a Zine archives search, including a thread from last
month.
For the dates we're considering, it generally costs at least $300 more to fly to Oaxaca than to Mexico City; we might consider flying to MEX and taking the first class bus to Oaxaca, which I understand takes six hours. My practical question is whether this seems like a good way to do this trip. We would also need to decide whether to make only a minimal stopover in MEX or spend a few days there. Andrew Missouri |
