So sorry to learn of the MS Switzerland's cancellation!!!

We sailed on the Norwegian Dream during the summer of 2000 going to all the Scandinavian capitals and Russia - a 16 day cruise. It is a very nice ship and Norwegian Cruise Lines have wonderful staff and meals. However, it is a true cruise ship, but I would not call it a glitzy ship by any means. They have stopped all their formal night requirements which is a plus to me. I think you would enjoy it, and were it me, I would hate to lose the $2000.

I don't know your ages but if over 50, you might want to look into the Elderhostel Adventures Afloat programs which offer I believe some of types of trips you prefer.
