Subject: Travel to Provence
Sorry, but the Dordogne is far away from the Provence and has definitely a different landscape - nice but not very spectacular. The region (Perigord) there is well known for food - as most parts of France :-) which means cheese - goose liver things like that. If you'd like to see the Provence the already mentioned area around Roussillon for example is quite ok. I can't second the idea of living among the French. I'd say they can be (!) very reluctant to tourists but of course that differs from person to person. I'd just stay there, visit the countryside, perhaps a few cultural sightseeing points (there are some old monasteries e.g.) and relax. Baerbel
