Subject: Rome and Florence
For lodgings in Florence, I highly recommend the Morandi alla Crochetta. [Moderator:] My wife and I spent five nights there in May 2000. A wonderful small hotel just north of the Duomo (but an easy walk) on a short and very narrow street. It's near everything yet very quiet at night. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Also, if you're staying three or more nights in Florence, you might want to consider an apartment. Try Windows on Tuscany for a very good selection of reasonably priced apartments. Buon viaggio! -Mark Mitchell
