Subject: France in December and January
Hello Ann- We especially enjoyed Uzés, north of Arles. it's a charming village - get the brochure from the tourist office for a self-guided walk around. Lots of towers, a medieval garden, and we can recommend La Taverne for lunch or dinner. They're a member of Terroir et Patrimonie- celebrating the cuisine and heritage of Languedoc-Roussilon, and serve a delicious 110 FF menu traditionelle. Have you visited the Pont du Gard yet? It is a don't-miss sight in the area - awesome. Driving in Provence is a joy - at all seasons of the year, even the height of the tourist season wasn't bad. Dec. should be a breeze. Anne in VA
