Subject: Favorite spot in Canada
I have hiked the mountains many places in the US and Europe, but my all time favorite spot is Lake O'Hara in Yoho National Park which straddles the BC/Alberta province line just north of Banff. Lake O'Hara is every bit as beautiful as Lake Louise to the south but Parks Canada protects it from being overrun by crowds by limiting access to those who have an advanced reservation on its bus (only runs 4 times per day) or to those willing to walk the 8 mile long access road. Once you reach Lake O'Hara, you have access to some of the greatest mountain scenery to be found anywhere. My day trip to Lake O'Hara was the best day of a memorable week at Banff.
