|Subject: Villa Adriana - was : Pompeii|
Ostia Antica is a good option.
I like a lot Villa Adriana, near Tivoli, specially after reading Memoirs of
Hadrian, by Marguerite Yourcenar. I donĄt know how old is your son, but I
found it very interesting. When we went to Villa Adriana I kept remembering
all the places mentioned in the book.
Some URLs to read about it (some of them are in Italian, but you can see the pictures) : http://www.alfanet.it/welcomeItaly/roma/itinerari/tivoliing/defaulting.html http://www.activitaly.com/monument/villadriana.htm http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Acropolis/9184/ http://www.vitruvio.ch/arc/roman/hadriansvilla.htm http://www.greatbuildings.com/buildings/Hadrians_Villa.html http://www.woodberry.org/acad/hist/CLASSICS/sites/purcell/gen.htm
