...Hi, I second Covadongas' recommendation for Villa Adriana, it is
magnificent! and by the way thank you Covadonga for all the information!
...first time we went to Villa Adriana it was Winter and bitterly cold for Rome ,someone sold us the tickets but there was no guard in sight, the matter in fact there was no one- visitor or otherwise - in sight during all the time we spent there!!! I remmember thinking how easily it seemed to pick up any of those wonderful treasures , pieces of all kind of ancient buildings, mosaics etc...In those days Italians and Greeks seemed so careless to me, has anyone had the same feeling ?
