Ira, I agree 100% with you. On the rare occasion that we have had a leisurely
dinner here in the US, my wife and I instantly note that it feels like we're
in Europe. It also seems that you have to be in a relatively expensive
restaurant here to even have a chance at not being rushed.
I believe that most Americans are so used to being rushed that when they go to Europe, they often feel that they are receiving lousy service because everything takes so long, when actually you are getting time to talk & socialize. -steve |
