A my friend from Romania told my that, when they are not happy about food or service in restaurants, they put the bill money (or tip) under a bit of bread (=you are a poor guy/waiter/owner). I think it is a high expressive way to show your idea about that restaurant!

NB about agriturismo and countryside stay, I think you should mix. some time (not too long), stay in countryside and enjoy their positive aspects and some time in towns during the same trip (at least it is what I try to do when I like two different aspects of two things).
