We stayed one recent Easter at a B&B called Creed House in - where else?
- Creed, right in the centre of Cornwall. It was an old rectory, run by
a delightful woman who gave us the run of the house and the lovely grounds,
opposite the old church. The only other buildings in the settlement were
Creed Farm and Creed Cottage, I think, but all the other attractions of
the region were easily accessible.
An unusual feature was that we woke on Easter Sunday morning to find ourselves
in a wonderland, with England providing us with our first White Easter.
(A couple of days later, we had to have our car pulled out of a snowdrift
on a mountain road in Wales.)
We found a couple of good restaurants within driving distance - and which
we called local until the real locals pointed out that they were a couple
of counties away!
