|Subject: Travel Books|
We have a book store at a shopping mall near us that sells out-of-date books
very cheaply, especially travel guides that have been replaced by the newest
edition. As a result, I am competing for the world's largest out-of-date
Italian travel guide collection. As the books cost $2-3, I am not
endangering my retirement fund very rapidly, but I do have a wide variety.
Personally, I don't use recommendations for hotels and restaurants from guides very much, but I do look to them for sightseeing, maps, and, especially, culture. For sheer reading, I like the Insight guides since it seems to provide the best background information.
