|Subject: Re: Cities: the beginning or end of the trip?|
For our 3 weeks in Europe last spring, we flew into
Paris, spent two nights orienting ourselves, then took
the TGV to Switzerland and Lake Constance. We trained
to Lake Como for a week, then spent the last week
concentrating on Paris.
This way we rested a bit after the flight to Paris from San Francisco, and we were rested enough for the long train journey. Two long weeks in the country prepared us for the busy city at the end of the trip. I'd do it all over again!
