I've been to see Mystere (Cirque du Soleil) twice and it's well worth the money if you want to splurge on one particular show and the kids will love it. Also, for kids - Lance Burton, the magician has his own theatre at the Monte Carlo - he incorporates kids into the show. It was a great show and very reasonably priced compared to some of the other shows on the strip. And yes, you've got the pirate battle at Treasure Island, you can go to the Venetian and see the gondolas on the canal, and the dancing fountains at the Bellagio - you can also take a bus ride out to the Hoover Dam (not a tour) and it's pretty inexpensive and just walk around on your own. I agree that part of seeing Las Vegas is just walking around. Also, last time we were there, in front of Harrah's in the courtyard they had free entertainment.
