Subject: Re: 6 weeks backpacking in Europe
Dear Covadonga,

Thank you for the welcome and the advice!

Anyway- I think that we have given up on Greece (and if we had gone, we were planning on flying up to Zurich from Athens). Right now, this is what the itinerary looks like:

4 days- Prague (Kutna Hora) 4 days- Budapest 2 days- Cesky Kumlov 4 days- Vienna + Bratislava or Hallstat 4 days- Munich + Salzburg

from that point on, we will either go to: 4 days- Switzerland (Interlaken, Gimmelwald) 3 days- Siena (for Il Palio) 4 days- Barcelona 3 days- Pamplona (San Fermines) 4 days- Madrid 6 days- Paris (Bastille day)

OR

we will take your suggestion and head south: Basically Ljubljana, Zagreb, and Dubrovnik (this is if we have less time, probably)

Do you think 4 days in Madrid is worth it? Or would you rather recommend trying to go to Galicia, or staying in Segovia? I would love to see Andalucia, but I am afraid that it will be too hot by the time we're in Spain (early-mid July). Also- do you have any other specific recommendations for towns to research in Slovenia or Croatia (that is where the Dalmation Coast is, right?)

Anyway- thank you again for responding and for your advice!

Best, Richard
