We have finally decided on this year's trip after several false starts.
We're heading to Naples which we want to use as a base to see Pompeii,
Herculeum, Amalfi Coast et al. I am intersted in a visit to Anzio as I
have an uncle who was part of the landing, was captured and then sheltered
by Italians after escape. What can you tell me about Anzio. We did the
beaches in Normandy last year and were very glad we did. Is there anything
at Anzio besides the beach? Is there a museum, monument etc. Not that
this would matter as I just feel a need to go. I've done some checking
on the web, but certainly not an exhaustive search. Any information would
Barb in Grand Rapids.
